From Beginning to End
Love. Can not be solved like one of life’s everyday problems. The questions about it, cannot be answered through everyday conversation. And benevolence, bliss, belonging would not exist without it.
So, what is love?
Is its complexity too much for us to comprehend? Does it only happen in fantasyland? Or is it from the beginning to the end?
Too me, love starts with the words “Good morning,” and ends with a kiss goodnight. It is the smile that I see walk in the door, and the embrace before we say goodbye. It is the voice I hear through the phone, and the one that keeps me up at night. Love is the time spent together and all the space in between. It is beyond ordinary, extraordinary, yet it will always be my sanctuary.
The love I feel occurred yesterday, presents itself today, and is already happening tomorrow. There is no boundary, it cannot bend or break, nor will it be forgotten.
It is timeless and transcendental.
A life without it, would be one I do not want to be in. I would lose the strength and security I feel when I look into your eyes. My insights would tumble and my perspectives would crumble. My vision’s of the future would be swallowed and the past would only make me feel sorrow.
Love. The love exhibited through your kindness and care, your generosity and understanding, is a love I never want to disappear.
But, I have a strange habit. I am always dreaming of the end. Before it begins, I want to know how it will end. I only ever think, thought and cared about the finish. It is true that one must have an aim to reach their target. A story begins with a close. But love is different.
Because once this love started, I realized, I never wanted it to end.
